New to the Houston area and looked at places to try and fortunately for us we hit the bulls eye!! When you first walk in you are greeted by the aroma from the bakery and then walk into a very inviting modern industrial decor. We were seated near the serving area which allowed us to have a view of the various orders. Not many places can make a skirt steak as appetizing as W&M!! We were able to enjoy a delicious lunch and look forward to many returns as we have officially moved to Houston!!!
Was there for restaurant week on a Thursday. It was busy but not packed. Although we had a reservation, the hostess said our table had diners that were finishing up so we went to bar for a drink. 20 minutes later, our table was still not ready so we sat at the community table. We had many waiters pass us for about 15 minutes but no one ever stopped. I went up to the hostess to get Restaurant Week menus and ask for a waiter. Outstanding! Loved the presentation of the Rosebud cocktail! It was girlie and delicious!! Octopus was perfectly prepared as were the lamb chops. Only word of caution (as with any purchase) double check your bill. I was charged $21 for octopus (menu states $18) and Killing me Softly drink that was sent back, appeared on check. Consequently, server adjusted and all was well with the world!
So damn good. Love the modern atmosphere, the food was delish! Cocktails were so damn good!!
I met a couple of perspective clients there. The restaurant was definitely designed for inner loopers. Very nice, great lighting, and simple. The bakery smelled amazing. Didn't buy though. I had a chicken BLT. It was awesome. The sauce and oil made it. Staff was great. Only negative? A bit pricey. But that's the inner loop for you. I'm a suburbs guy.
This restaurant is around the corner from my offices, and very close to church, so it was a close drive for a fun Sunday Brunch. I wanted to take my gf someplace new for her, so decided on W&M. Although we didn't have a reservation, we were seated quickly. The bloody mary's we ordered were perfect, and the carrot pizza was delish. We followed up with the chocolate chip pancakes for the sweet tooth. This brunch was a great segway into a relaxing Sunday before the busy work week. I would recommend W&M to anyone.
Great food, service, and ambience. Table of 5 sat comfortably. Freshly squeezed OJ a nice touch. Ordered the egg pizza which was delicious (just wish there was more pancetta) kids had pizza which they loved. Eggs benny and Eggs Oaxaca were also similarly devoured. Really great space with a lot of hustle.
never a bad meal here. beautiful restaurant. knowledgable friendly, unobtrusive staff. wonderful imaginative italian menu with full bakery. you can take home a loaf. consistent. plenty of parking.
Great food, good drinks, nice atmosphere, friendly, but not over-bearing wait staff. Will definitely go back!
