Wechsler & Goodman Jewelry -- They simply ARE the best!!! I learned of Wechsler & Goodman through my Mother, who learned of W&G from several of her friends in her condominium complex. They have re-sized rings and bracelets for me, I had a pair of earrings that my Mother had given me. I loved the stones but I didn't like the setting. The only Jeweler you ever want or need!! I have know David Nightingale for almost 30 years. Over that time, he has helped my mother and me find beautiful and unique pieces of jewelry for our family such as special charms for my sister's collection. He has also repaired our jewelry, and, when I lost one earring of family heirloom pair, he was able to locate and work with a "stone carver" to create an exact match of a very unusually shaped stone. very accomodating a few days before i was going to go to my friends wedding my necklace broke and i had to get it fixed. these guys were very helpful when i went here. they got it fixed in time and they had excellent customer service. they did a very good job and there was nothing to show it was fixed.reliable work.
Honest, affordable, friendly! I brought a rather unique engagement ring in to the guys at Wechler and Goodman, and they made a wedding band to go with it that matched perfectly! They were friendly, fast, and very affordable. I had priced the job at 6 other shops and they were by far the cheapest. Plus, later a stone got knocked out, and when I came in, they replaced it right there on the spot. The best place to go for repairs or for new jewelry!
Superlative Workmanship I brought in two pieces of couture costume jewelry that needed repair and enlarging. David, an expert craftsman, made moldings of one of the pieces that needed to be enlarged. This was no small task. He did it perfectly. I'm utterly impressed and thankful. Also, he soldered some links on a necklace that needed repair, and the result was again perfect. I'll be returning, even though I have to drive 1 1/2 hrs to get there. The prices were better than I've seen in years.
i can't say enough good about this place! I love love love these guys! like all of the other comments on here, i have nothing but good to say about this shop! it's kinda hard to get to, in downtown SD, but so worth the trip. the shop is tiny and looks beat down, but the stuff they create is gorgeous. and i cannot believe how inexpensive they are! david nightengale told me that he doesn't care so much about the money, the reason he does what he does is because he wants to make something beautiful that someone will cherish for... read more
Wonderful People! I have been going to Wechsler and Goodman for over 10 years. My first experience with them was for jewelry appraisals. They had the most reasonable prices of any other business in the San Diego area. But since then, I have gone to W&G for jewelry repairs, ring sizing and even some custom work. The diamond fell out of the ring they made for me TWICE!! I'll be brief, I had a custom wedding ring made from 6 of my diamonds from another ring about 10 months ago. Today the diamond fell out of the ring and it's just gone. I have no idea where it went. This is the SECOND TIME this happened! After I had the ring for about 3 months the stone fell out and I found it in the bathtub. Not so lucky this time.
