Opened in the late 1940's and the recipe hasn't changed. The standard burger is with mustard and onions. Lettuce and tomato is extra and not needed in my opinion. Side items (fries, tator tots or onion rings) are large portions and can easily be split by two people. In nice weather its great to sit outdoors. Very limited inside seating. One of my favorites!
Best non yuppie burger around! Onion rings are to die for (order a half order!) and the root beer is the best! There's a reason they've been a Tulsa institution for some 70-80 years!
Lost forever as a child in San Antonio, the rediscovered 40 years later in Tulsa. The first taste in 40 years reminded my of my last taste long ago. The formula was true to the original taste that I fell in love with as a child, bird-dogging my father for the rest of his big frosty mug. Make the trip to 38th and Peoria in Tulsa, drink from the well-head in a cold frosty mug and let memories be born.
Great root beer. Thanks for serving our drinks as you were closing at 5 pm on Saturday. Keep up the attitude! We will keep referring people to visit.
