RecommendedI am a welder by occupation and got a nasty case of flash burn (photokeratitis) in my eyes and was in severe pain and literally could not open my eyes, I was basically temporarily blind. My mom rushed me to the ER and I was seen immediately on arrival. They completely understood and were obviously familiar with the severity of my condition and transported me by wheel chair to a room. I did not have to wait at all. Could not have asked for better care! Thank you Wayne!
Dear Dr.Smith and UNC Wayne Hospital, Thanks for making me wait for hours in your ED with a sheet over my window only to find out that I was forgotten. Only for Dr. Smith to disregard the fact that I have a heart condition,hypertension and my head is constantly bothering. The combination is literally making me have fainting spells. He told the nurse that he was going to order some test(The tests were never ordered). And even had my awesome nurse prep me for an IV that I never got. Apparently if you were an overweight person it takes a few hours for them to decide how to transport you to Greenville so you have to sit there and wait until they can figure out the best way to get you there certain doctors tend to frown on people that have weight issues I lost a sister there and all I had to hear she’s overweight but her weight didn’t kill her I have a niece who waited way too much time to be transported to Greenville because in his words she’s a big girl!!! Smh
The new surgery wing is phenomenal. The staff were personality plus! I can’t remember all names but Natalie, Kelly and Fred come to mind. Dr. Metts rocks! Now, that being said, the registration—oh my Lord. Wendy, my registration person was great; the greeter at the desk—not so much! I understand the virus issues but get someone with some cheer there! Yes, I’m retired from Wayne and darn proud of it—but this had no reflection on my recommendation! Proud of our COMMUNITY hospital!
I had a Heart Cath today and I just want to say what a great job everyone did from Pete my nurse to the other nurses that assisted him, to the team in the Cath Lab and to my Angel nurse Megan who was with me during my procedure. I was very nervous and also stressed about having to be there alone with no family due to the COVID-19 restrictions, I prayed for God to send me an angel to be there with me and he sent Megan. Thank you all again!🙏❤️
My father was recently a patient at Wayne UNC on the 4th floor after going into the ER. The thorough efforts of Dr. Smith & Dr. Ahmed were much appreciated by our family in their diagnosis and care.
I had a an experience in Nov. and well in the hospital for four days,. I have no complaints what so ever.
this place is the worse hospital and day surgery center I have ever seen or been to. I wouldnt even trust my dogs to receive medical care here
