Dr. Fernandez is one of the best vets in Los Angeles. I've taken pets (both cats and dogs) to her for over 15 years, and know her level of expertise and knowledge....Excellent. I definitely recommend her to pet owners.

Absolutely horrible vet! – Please don't ever take your animal here. The doctor doesn't care about the pets, and the receptionist is the biggest piece of trailer trash I've ever met. I was treated so rudely when I called to get a follow up on my pet's condition. In a nut shell, I brought my resuce dog to see this vet 2 days after we resuced her. Because she is a rescue animal you are allowed a free visit within 3 days of bringing your pet home. This vet honored the free visit, but she acted like she was doing me a favor by se... read more

An Excellent Vet – If you go there for a hug and Oprah-like energy, forget about it. But if you want a highly qualified vet that cares deeply for your pet and has years and years of experience, then this is the place for you. Yes, Dr.Fernandez cuts to the chase and is a no-nonsense person, but I like it that way ... to-the-point honesty without syrupy emotional posturing, and skilled at what she does. Oh, did I mention that the prices are extremely reasonable?

go if you want to leave feeling lousy!! – Dr. Fernandez is very unprofessional, demeaning, and does not know how to treat her customers with respect. The receptionist is very cold, does not know how to greet and thank patrons and is a robot who is just there to get paid. I was yelled at several times by the vet, who has no patience and got upset at my questions about caring for my dog once he was home. Dr. Fernandez uses very condescending tones and my boyfriend and I were talked down to over the 2 times we went. I cried bec... read more

safe bet for a vet – I have four rescue animals. Dr. Hernandez saved two of their lives. She does not have the best bedside manner, but she is very coompent. As I write this, one of the cats whose liveswas saved is sittingon my lap purring. I don't know whether another vet could have saved their lives but I know that they are alive. I do know that when they were rescued they were very ill and that they are here w/ me today. Thank you Dr. Hernandez.

Reliable animal doctor – Dr Fernandez takes her job serious which means making you feel bad about not bringing in your pet frequently enough. I think she is a good vet and cares very much for the animals, maybe more than for their owners. the rest of the staff is very friendly and you don't have to wait. But I left feeling like I had been sent to the principal's' office... I have been taking my pets there for 10 years and will continue to do so.

Hysterical vet – Dr. cannot converse, takes all questions personally & gets uber defensive. Most of the times I've called, i have to hold the phone away from my ear 'cause the yelling is so loud. Never listens, just jumps to conclusions & repeats the same info over & over. Receptionist is THE RUDEST person I haver EVER encountered in Los Angeles!!!! The grooming staff is nice.

Great Vet! – I just returned from bringing my cat to his third visit to the Wayfarer Veterinary Hospital. Every experience has been positive. The first time, my cat was very sick. The last two times were for his vaccinations. The vet is open on Saturday, which is great for my schedule. The visits are quick. I have never had to wait long to be seen. The staff is friendly and courteous. They all seem like they like their jobs. The vet always has done a good job explaining what was wrong with my pet and what my options for trea... read more

absolutely avoid this place – they were totally unsympathetic and made us feel horrible. they basically blamed us for our dog's problems and it turned out that we had nothing to do with them. they made my fiance cry, in fact. they treated us totally disrespectfully at the front desk and especially in the vet room. it was a mess and they touched and talked about the animals as if they were not alive. extremely rude...we were totally shocked! and we are easy to get along with. one note...our dog was in serious trouble and the ... read more
