Great place to workout. I love the classes and instructors and have made some great friends here. Child watch is very kind and good with my kids also.
The childcare quality is important to me and the ladies that work there in the mornings anyway are GREAT. Seriously. Gayle remembers my little guy and which toys he loves and did such a wonderful job of helping him adjust to drop offs there. She is amazing but so are several of the other ladies there.
Many people use the machines as a place to just sit and watch others instead of working out on it and moving on. Too many sit looking at their phones instead of working at whatever machine or station they're at. Kids running all over playing on equipment. Pool never available for paying customer use when I am able to come in and use it. Machines break down and it sometimes takes over a month to replace or fix it. Not enough weight machines of the same type, so a lot of waiting around to get your turn on a machine. Not happy ... read more
I really like the Waukee Y. My 1 year old daughter loves the people who work in the day care and I love two hours to myself to work on fitness. The machines are top-notch. The day care staff are super and the trainers are knowledgeable.
I really like attending the classes. I do the Body sculpt and the interval training, for right now. The Bollywood class looks really fun. It has a lot of amenities. I dislike that the school takes over the pool for their meets, but the season isn't that long.
