A friend took us here when we were visiting him! Loved it! Vibrant and exciting atmosphere, food was delicious and service was great! We will definitely be back when we come this way again. It's a must!

I had the chicken fried steak with macaroni & french fries. This would have been a great meal if the steak would have been tender and this is a problem at almost every restaurant I go to. You are supposed to be able to cut a CFS with the fork. As I was attempting to cut mine the whole steak just slid out of the crust and looked like a hockey puck. If you fix this one problem it will be a great meal.

We were a group of six: twin 2 year olds, a middle-aged married couple, and 2 sisters in their late sixties. Great variety of breakfast foods. Something everyone's taste. Accommodating wait staff, interesting decor, accessible to handicapped, and an outdoor picnic area complete with a shady playscape. Climbing and sliding in safety and benches for parents and grandparents to comfortably observe. We had a great time at Waterloo.
It was our first visit but we were impressed. The food was outstanding as was the atmosphere.

My first visit to Waterloo Icehouse, I found the prices to be very reasonable, the portions were generous, and the food was amazing. I will definately go back. Rachel was our server and made sure our drinks were always filled and was very knowledgeable of the menu items.
Great food and the perfect mix of family oriented, good food, and Austin original.

The menu choices were good, the atmosphere was great, but our server was mediocre at best. She was impatient for us to order and once our food was there, that was it. When we were asked "Anything else?" We replied yes, but she never followed up, never checked on us and had to get another server to get here to bring the check. Once she did, we had to wave her down to get it picked backed up. It was after 1pm so it wasn't crowded or slammed, but our server was there in body only, her mind and spirit were elsewhere
