Dr. Washington was called to perform an emergency echo on my son who had a severe heart murmur at one day old. He took the baby to the nursery and sometime later returned to say all looked good. He then left. My son stopped breathing later that night, suffocated and was placed on life support. Tests revealed he had HLHS.
