Wonderful trail. Surprised that there was very light trail traffic for an April weekend with temperatures at 80 degrees. Odenton MARC parking northbound is a great starting point. The lot has a path to Becknel Rd which allows for a safe ride toward Piney Orchard Pkwy where the trail begins. Crooked crab brewery is one mile from this lot. The trail has multiple tunnels. and bridges.
Beautiful view and changing terrain. Southbound a tad difficult slight up grade coming back north, very pleasant..
The first mile of the trail is in bad condition and you’re forced to use an overgrown cracked road shoulder. Also, there is no designated parking and it seems like the folks in the neighborhood don’t like cyclists parking in front of their houses. It’s better to start the trail at the one mile marker instead.
