Always consistently good. A very nice treat in the middle of the busy week
Expensive but their sushi and sushi combinations are always fresh and delicious and I love their salad dressing. IMO- Taiko's Sesame Chicken and Tempura is a little better but, Wasa has better Teriyaki Chicken and a better Crunch Roll. I'll definitely continue to frequent the place, you get what you pay for.
We've been fortunate enough to be treated to the culinary talents of Hide Mita for over a quarter century, for many years at Cal Beach Rockin' Sushi and now at Wasa. He is an incomparable chef who's creativity and talent are second to none. When we come in, we just sit down and let him work his magic. Never ever disappointed!
Hide-san, is a wonderful head chef and is accompanied by a magnificent set of chefs backing him up. The food is superb, fresh, and they are able to serve the truly adventurous and the tame roll eaters. Each will have a great meal, served with care and attention to the flavors and the authentic style of Japan.
