One of the older hotels in the area, but definitely one of the more affordable. For a group of travlers going down for Mardi Gras, this afforded us a place to rest up for the activities. It was walking distant to all the restaurants and nightlife. If you are young adults looking for a cheap place to stay so you can spend your money elsewhere, look into this place. If you want something nicer or right on top of the action, look elsewhere.

My friend and I went to NOLA for New Years 2005. Fortunately for us, our exerience at this particular hotel was a good one. I am a law student on a VERY limited budget so the hotel was a very good value considering we were there during the holiday season (and on a weekend no less). The place was clean and the staff was very friendly. The safe in our room was broken when we arrived and they sent someone to fix it right away! The hotel is a little old but it is well kept. If you want a luxury hotel with all the bells and whist... read more

My friend & I went to NOLA for spring break. Were both grad students, so we were on a budget. For our purposes, this hotel was satisfactory. I wouldnt recommend it, however, for couples or families, etc. Overall, it was clean except for the elevators. The rooms are a nice size (at least the ones with two queen beds), with plenty of space for hanging items, etc. The bathroom was old, but still clean - just awkward. Here are the things we didnt like... housekeeping came to clean the rooms before 10 a.m. every day, even on Sunda... read more

no ice machines worked, terrible air conditioning. springs poking though the bed and bloodstains on the sheets. the bartender and the hotel manager were just plain rude and i will never stay there again or at Any Ramada if i can possibly help it ever again.

We stayed at this hotel in April and had no HOT WATER. They sent someone to check it and supposedly fixed it, but next day again no HOT WATER. Said we needed to turn the faucet to an exact spot in order to get Hot Water. At \$197.20 for two nights, plus \$12 each day for parking, we should have had all the Hot Water we wanted. After writing to them when we got back home to ask if we might get a small rebate, all I got was a letter saying they were sorry and appropriate action had been taken. To date, two months later, I have... read more

Showers had cold water. Requested service to fix the problem, no ever came. The heater was falling off of the wall; wires were exposed; and the plug-ins were coming off of the wall. I have stayed at several Ramada Inns and have never had this type of experience.

Only positive I can say is that its near the French Quarter and the room had plenty of space. There was no refrigerator, although we were told there would be. The water in the bathroom sink took about an hour to go down. We informed the receptionist 3 times and were told someone would take a look. I think we would still be waiting if we were there. Someone dropped a doughnut covered in sugar in the hallway, and it was there for almost 3 days before someone cleaned it up. We ate breakfast in the restaurant the first morning a... read more
