Got to visit the knife shop a few years after Earnest passed. It was nice to hear sharpening tips from a master. Must have been in the 70's. I was a rookie knife grinder at the time.
Bought 4 knives a couple of weeks ago and they all rusted in the sink. My other knives (Wusthof), don't rust with the same treatment. I'm not gonna oil and pay special attention to my kitchen knives, they should be tough enough to handle a little water now and then. And what's even worse is I reached out to the customer service and sent them pictures of the rust spots right here on Facebook (the website contact form returns an error) and there was no response.
