We stayed in Eugene for three nights over the summer. We found this place on the first morning - and went back the next two. We thought we might be missing out on other wonderful things in Eugene but didn't really care because this place is so awesome. Great coffee, superb customer service (shout out to the guy with the long hair that looks like he could easily have been the fifth member of TON) and exactly my kind of atmosphere. The scones alone are worth 5 stars. Now that I'm back on the East coast, I'm in a bit of a scone depression. I can't find anything remotely comparable to the raisin cashew scone. That thing was amazingly delicious. Perfectly balanced combination of salty and sweet.

It was serendipitous that we stopped in on the way home from a long hot music festival, the weather had taken a welcome turn from a dry, blistering 106 degrees to a cool, cloudy and rainy 75. Exhaustion lay heavy upon our tired, gypsy bodies. Coffee was needed. What we found at the Wandering Goat was an oasis.
