May 2021 I searched for my 2003 James Bond Edition Thunderbird and drove to Pittsburg to pick it up. On the way back I noticed some things that needed to be repaired. I was looking for a shop that worked on older classic, collectible cars and always saw cool cars outside Walt's Auto Service. I am so glad I stopped in. $2000.00 estimate to fix my a/c. Did it myself 2 gaskets and 3 cans of 134a and we're all good. Not, repeat, not going back EVER!! Fund that race car honestly.
I first took my car to another shop on Gage because it would not start. I live in the neighborhood and I always see lots of cars at this shop. He quoted me a cheap price to check it out, this will get you in the door. But his service was the worst. My car sat there for over a week and he told me he could not get it to act up. My windshield wiper quit working, Walt took a look at it and found a loose nut, he put it back together and did not charge me even though I offered to pay. A good shop to have in our neighborhood.
I had my blazer at Sears and they found my engines head gasket leaking. They recommended me to take it to Walts Auto Service since they did not get into that kind of work. Walts guys checked it out and confirmed it was bad. They gave my a detailed estimate and took there time explaining it to me. Will be coming back as soon as my tax return gets in. Thanks for the education.

No pressure to go beyond what I was comfortable doing, but did give me objective information so that I could make a informed decision. Kept me up to date on what was happening. did not criticize my goofy little car!
