RecommendedWalnut Grill did a phenomenal job accommodating my needs for a retirement party I hosted in a private room of theirs recently. I want to throw a special shout out to our servers for the evening, Gino and Sam, for their extra care and attention to detail the entire party! Hands down the BEST meal I've ever had in Pittsburgh. I come to Pitt for work often and I literally tell everyone that I hate Pittsburgh food because after hundreds of experiences, I've never had a good meal from any restaurant, which is insane, but I ordered the wild mushroom chicken with garlic mashed potatoes and the toasted almond cake for dessert and oh my heavens I am over the moon! One of our go-to spots. Always fun!
The tomato soup had grilled cheese sandwich broken up into bite size pieces, yummy. The crab cake and sweet potato was excellent. Sally enjoyed the soup, salmon with orange marmalade, and her sweet potato fries My friend and I enjoyed being able to talk without loud music. Our waitress, Mary, was friendly and knowledgeable. I will come again for lunch sometime and bring friends.
