I moved to WC in 1980 and live downtown. I can bike to work, walk 24/7 and feel safe, catch the free shuttle bus to Bart, and if all else fails, Lyft can pick you up in less than ten minutes. And now that the renovation at Broadway Plaza is complete, it's hard not to say, "We've come a long way, baby!" Oh, and I forgot to mention the weather. Hard to beat.
Frendly to families, shopping, merchants, restaurants, and pet friendly... and a non smoking environment, and most of all, friendly to peaceful marches for womens' rights.
I was there for the March great job Walnut Creek Police, volunteers, and businesses. Love your city.
