Orangeburg Walmart Vision Center employee of African descent (only to identify the person) in Orangeburg, SC, with hands that are only good for loading cement bags was asked to repair my eyeglasses since there was no one else available to do the job. I sat in front of him while he was literally butchering lenses of my expensive glasses ($300). He placed nose pads that were too large and the replacement screws holding them were humongous. Can't say enough good about this place. Other than the blaring music--which they have no control over--it was such a great experience. The doctor who gave me the eye exam was quick, professional, very personable and easy to talk to. He actually took time to explain my options, and that there were new solutions available for what was bothering me. I was amazed. The folks who actually helped me with the glasses were fantastic: so friendly, calm, pleasant amidst a sea of customers and ringing phones. I didn't mind the 10 minute... read more

I went here on a whim 2 years ago to purchase glasses and was very impressed with the choice and service. Today, I went to get an eye exam and was told my eye exam was covered. That was the first pleasant surprise. Then, I was informed that a new pair of eyeglasses was covered as well. That was pleasant surprise number 2. The complete experience was very much appreciated, and I will be going back in future years to come. The staff was also very helpful and very friendly and understanding.
