I went to Dr. Walker after moving to MA from FL. I told him what my prior Derm had found over the last 2 years I'd been going to them. He never asked to see my skin and never got within 3 feet of me. I told him creams had not worked so my previous Derm had given me Enstilar topical foam which worked BEAUTIFULLY. Dr. Walker didn't know what that was wrote me a perscription for a cream, and wrote me a perscription for the Enstilar saying he doubted Mass Hlth would cover it. My visit was very short. I felt that Dr. Walker rushed me out. He looked at one spot of my skin and wrote in his prescription pad. I felt like I couldn't get a word in about my symptoms. I have already been on 2 different meds for my skin that is not improving but he seems to think it is. I am going to get a second opinion on my skin. If I could give a 0 star I would!
My first ever dermatology screening in 50 yrs, and Dr. Walker rushed through the exam in minutes, he was not interested in hearing about my health background or areas of concern, nor did he closely inspect any areas of my skin, he just said I’m aging, and everything is normal. He should have retired 18 yrs ago. This was not health CARE visit, it was a health BILL visit.
Although Dr. Walker is very friendly and helped me my condition, the office manager, his wife, is extremely rude and does not care about the patient concerns. Additionally, the office changed their hours and did not notify patients (being closed on full days) making it impossible to get into the office.
I would never recommend Dr. Walker to anyone! He never took a biopsy during the time I went to him. He melted the tip of my nose off with his can of cryogenic spray and treated me with Aldara cream which did nothing. It turns out I have had to have a large melanoma surgically removed from from my shoulder that he only sprayed; and several basil cell skin cancers surgically removed from my nose, lip, face and scalp that he missed. Be aware folks....insist on having a biopsy taken!!!!!
