I was rushed to Walgreens Urgent Care in Granite City 3 weeks ago and was barely able to breathe and they told me to leave. They told me to go to the one in Glen Carbon which I did and was seen and was misdiagnosed. They told me I had an upper respiratory infection and today was not any better after they said they were going to call me last Tuesday which never happened. Service has really taken a nose dive in the last few months. No sure if they are severely understaffed in the pharmacy, but this is the second time that a prescription has been called in or dropped off and it has taken over two hours to fill even though I was told 2 hours ago that they were working on it. Also was on hold for a total of 45 minutes to talk to someone about the status of it. Not everyone has time to sit in the store and wait and has to use their lunch break to pick things like this up. Made an appointment at the take care clinic. It was on time and handled quickly and efficiently. Impressed with my experience.
5:20 appt. Waited an hour. No diagnoses. Sent on my way.
Very disappointed in the care clinic today. My husband went in for a quick check of his ears as he believed he had an ear infection and might need meds. He is a school teacher and was off today for Veteran's Day. He was the only one there and finished checking in at 12:45. Someone from the clinic came out and told him to hold tight. Conveniently ten minutes later, someone different came out to tell him they were closed from 1 to 1:30 for lunch and there were no open appointments until 4pm that day.
