Nov. 21, 2016--- They didn't get their bread delivery today, which happens. They said I would get the same 12 inch sandwich, except it would be on pita bread, which was totally fine. I get my sandwich and they say it is the same amount of meat/veggies as is usually on a 12 in. sandwich. I counted 4 pieces of meat (for my italian sandwich) and 5 pieces of sliced jalapeños. Always park across the street and walk by. Soooo glad today we stopped. Shrimp Po Boy, Philly Cheese Steak & Cheese burger. All were more than happy with their choices. Great prices. Owner let us taste salmon corn chowder she just made & it was superb! Why didn't we come in sooner? Now on our list for sure.
Was in town for a concert and Wala was across from my hotel, so I decided to check it out. Very helpful and friendly staff, and the chicken Philly sandwich was amazingly delicious, great fries and a yummy butter pecan cake too!! I wish I'd had more than one while I was there. I'll be back anytime I'm in Detroit!
The food was good and the woman who took my order was so friendly!! Also LOVE the music they play in the restaurant:)
