Prompt, outstanding service from intake to discharge. Dr. Khandelwal, ER Physician, was compassionate while asking clarifying and confirming questions to reach a proper diagnosis. Nursing staff was oustanding as well. Teamwork! I knew I was receiving competent care. And "Trooper" the therapy dog was wonderful. Any anxiety that my wife and I had dropped to zero.
I had to visit the ER at the Cary WakeMed location today due to chest pain. From the moment I walked in the door I was treated with respect and care from all of the staff. Everyone was attentive and respectful and treated patients with the care that they deserve. My PA Dr. ELSHANAWANY was absolutely wonderful. She went through everything with me and was very professional and kind. Thank you for a great experience, healthcare is not an easy field to be in, but WakeMed really does it right.
As a retired BSN I was a nurse since 1970’s & I’m 73.5 years old. I came to the ER from my primary care doctor. I want to thank everyone for being so professional, caring and supportive. I have to rely on myself as my whole family my daughter, my brother, and my mother died from cancer. It is a good feeling that everyone in the emergency department was so kind and nice to me. Thank you
I have received excellent care here! The providers and staff are wonderful. My first visit was in Jan 2024 and I was very impressed with how well organized the Emergency Dept was and how well managed my care was. UNC Chapel Hill is much closer to me, but my preference is Wake Med Cary when I need care. Thank you!!
I was at the emergency room the night of 5/25/2025. I decided to leave this hospital alone and get the medical board involved with their doctors and pa's. So anyway I said Jess G. She is a PA and always comes off funny with me. Oh she tried to do all of these nice things according to her myself but said I have a history of pain seeking. If she felt that way, why not say it to my face. She lied the entire time just like another PA, John N.
