I think the biggest problem with customers that bring mowers in for repairs, is understanding that your mower isnt going to be repaired in a couple-of-days. We brought our zero turn mower in and if youre paying attention, they/**** Brothers employees make that clear to you. After approximately 4-weeks they contacted me with the problem and we were pleasantly surprised that all of the repairs would only amount to $400. That sure beats paying $4k or more for a new one. I've been a Voss Brother customer for several years and always had good luck with them in the past. I don't know if something has changed in their Service Department or what, but I just had the worst customer service experiences with them. I took my John Deere riding lawnmower into Voss Brothers on Sawmill Road for serving. It's an old mower and the plastic hood was partially cracked on one side. Voss Brothers Service Department further damaged my John Deere riding lawnmower which I had taken in for servicing. The (plastic) hood of the tractor was cracked, but in 1 piece when they picked up my mower and completely cracked in half (i.e, 2 pieces) when they delivered it back. The only way that could have happened would be if someone jerked it open or slammed it shut. I gave Voss Brothers one star since zero stars was not an option. I bought a brand new Cub Cadet lawn tractor from them last year. It has been in the service shop multiple times for warranty work. The repairs have been too many for a brand new tractor. I talked to the Sunbury location manager about my concerns of this poor quality tractor and he told me these were not Voss Brother’s problems and I need to talk to someone at Cub Cadet’s 1-800 number. Avoid Voss Bros at all costs! Worst customer service I have ever seen. They took a ridiculous amount of time to repair the mower. They made me think that my $1600 riding mower was lost or stolen twice. They blamed me for breaking something that was working fine before they touched it. Read below for the full details. I took my Toro z turn to Voss in Marysville. THe problem could have been anything and the service man (I was there so short a time I missed his name!) said "let me look quick", looked, replaced a fuse, and refused to accept money for what he should have charged for--it was worth lots to me and I didn't know how to do what he did! I was literally there less than 5 minutes from arrival with a dead mower to leaving with a working mower. Highly recommend Voss and will take all my equipment there. Voss Brothers in Marysville, especially Josh, has been incredible to do business with. Over the past two years, I have purchased four separate Stihl products and various parts for other equipment I own. Regardless of what I need or the questions asked, I have received excellent customer service and insightful advice. I am NOT happy with John Deere or Lowes. The first D130 I purchased started missing with just two hours on the engine. I had it for like two weeks at that point. I brought it to Voss Brothers (the official service place for JD) and it took them a week to look at it. They said it was a bad carburetor and that "fuel issues" are not covered by John Deere, even though 1. they tested my fuel and it was fine and 2.
