only if you must I shop there for the location only. The employees are rude and as lost as a penguin at the north pole! I suggest trying Fresh & Easy, its a little further for me, but worth it!
Vons Borchard and Thompson Been shopping there for ten years, still do as amatter of convenience only. 7 years ago this was the best large chain market in Ventura. Given its proximity to single family development it still probably boasts the largest volume of all markets in Ventura. Unfortunately since its take over by another large market food chain its quality quickly dropped as its prices rose. Great Pharmacy Staff I do not use the pharmacy at this grocery store, but I do shop here. And when ever I am in the pharmacy dept buying something over the counter the pharmacy staff always asks me if I need help looking for something. Its nice to be noticed. Some stores will just look right past you and hope you don't make eye contact with them.
Try a cake !... The bakers here really know their stuff. I have bought several cakes from here, and I have always been happy. The cake is great, the decorations are always like I order. They are a bit more than Stater Bros, but, worth it !! PROS: Everything CONS: Nothing.
Vons The store is a bit dirty but there is plenty of parking & we shop there because it's close-by. The produce is good & they always have what we need. Prices are average to high.
TALK ABOUT SAVINGS I PERSONALLY HAVE WITNESSED THE SAVINGS THAT VONS PROVIDES THEIR CUSTOMERS. RECENTLY, I WAS SHOPPING AND HAD ONLY A LIMITED AMOUNT TO SPEND. I PURCHASED ITEMS FOR SANDWICHES, ICE CREAM, MILK, EGGS...JUST TO MENTION A FEW. AT THE CHECK OUT ISLE, AT FIRST TOTAL- WITHOUT VONS CLUB CARD--RANG UP OVER $ 20.00. AFTER VONS CLUB CARD, IT TOTALED TO JUST AROUND $13.00 . IN MY BOOK, THAT IS THE KIND OF SAVINGS THAT MAKES IT ALL WORTH WHILE. THIS STORE AS A WHOLE IS GREAT, CLEAN, FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL.
