We have just finished a major project with von Gillern construction. This included four different rooms in our house. We have also worked with Jack von Gillern in two other homes. We have nothing but praise for his work. Jack is a very honest and and dependable contractor. He does quality work. His subcontractors are quality workmen and very dependable. I highly recommend Jack von Gillern for any renovation project because of his knowledge, experience, professionalism, and his attention to detail and precision. He hires the best craftsmen and technicians - from the team that does the hardwood floors and tile, to the stonecutter, cabinetmaker, plumber, electrician, and painters - and they were always prompt and courteous. Professional from start to finish. Jack is very good with communicating with all the different people involved in a project. He provides updates to the client and keeps the line of communication open through out the project. Jack has the knowledge and experience necessary to complete even the most complicated projects. I would highly recommend him.

What a pleasant surprise it was to work with von Gillern Construction!! We have worked with other contractors in the past that did not meet our expectations, but von Gillern Construction exceeded all of them. He and his team were always prompt and showed up when they said that they would. We totally remodeled our house that was built in 1978 while adding a room on the back of the house, too. We had heard many horror stories of cost overruns, delayed completion, and absent workmen - so we got names of contractors from people we trusted. Our electrician said that von Gillern always completed work on-time (and paid his workers immediately). We got three bids and von Gillern was in the "high-middle" of the three. His excellent experience and expertise were evident from the beginning. Provided a complete job scope based on my requirements for the renovation of my home. This was the basis for the cost estimate,monitoring the project and changes. Job was completed within the timeframe. His attention to the details of the project saved me time and money by adjusting things that I had missed before another task was done. After almost 18 years in the remodeling world, there are some Contractors that you just love to work with, and Jack is at the top of that list. Contractors who are knowledgeable and who really care about their clients, make what I do so much more fun and rewarding. He's one of the best.
