Why Gold? These restorations, seen before, temporized, and final gold crowns on the two molars and a composite resin in the second bicuspid, were placed over five years ago. They could potentially last many decades. Earlier today we inserted a gold crown for one of our long term patients. After it was placed, the patient could not believe how comfortably smooth his new restoration felt. We are one of the major providers of tongue and lip tie treatment in the western PA area, and many of our patients as us why their infants/children or their own tongues or lips are 'tied.' Here at Voller Dentistry, we've heard many patients tell us that implants can't be as good as natural teeth. Perhaps in some instances that is true, but in most cases, they sure can look and function as good as a real tooth! In this case, a patient with congenitally missing (from birth) lateral incisors had orthodontics to make room for two implants, replacing the lateral incisors.
