To whom it may concern: Avoid the Volunteers of America at all cost. Like the plague. I have been stable per over 4 years straight on my medication. So, I had to bully my way out of their coverage. A state of happiness erased with the team changing my medication. A hack. Followed in the next few weeks by a near death experience on the road with a volunteer driving. A loved one was here and they at least tried to help, for free. Any negative reviews, stop complaining, it's free and I'm sure they do their best.
This place saved my life. I needed a safe place to stay and was treated with the up most respect. The goal is to stay sober and stay as long as you need (up to 30 days). They also assign you a case worker a few days after you admit. Mine was excellent and the others helped in finding me residential treatment before the 30 days were up. thank you ALL!
This place is awesome! I have been into this facility to do interviews for The Other Side Academy and I am impressed. I felt hopeful, good synergy, I met staff who care, have lived experience, and show by what they do that they only want to help someone find the way out of drug addiction. They ring a bell and Clap as a community when a client transitions out to share that hope with the other clients. Every staff member was great! Allowed my dog rambo to come! Very caring people! Detoxing sucks but these guys were there for me Every step of the way! Thank you guys!❤️❤️
