I'm a huge advocate for hospice. when my grandmother was admitted to hospice, I felt assured that her palliative care needs would be met. imagine my surprise when my family arrived to find her in distress (respirations of 60/min!) without ANY standard hospice "comfort kit" orders in place. Along with VNA Home Health, the VNA Hospice and Palliative Care of Southern CA cared for my father for over 3 yrs until his passing in 2017. They were Angels of Mercy for Dad as well as his wife and myself who were his primary caregivers. They provided everything we needed and for things or info they couldn't they found someone or some place that did. The staff are outstanding: caring, attentive, professional and deeply engaged. They ensured that this excruciating time of my family’s life wasn’t unbearably worse and, in fact, helped give us quality time and much comfort.
Wow, Angels sent from God! We just signed up with this service that is more than accommodating and very understanding of my 91yr old grandmother. It is complete covered through her medical insurance and that alone is amazing in this day and age. But the people and nurses and doctor are the most wonderful people thus far. I am some grateful and I know we are blessed!
