I feel nothing but gratitude toward the entire Vitas team; my dad was in their care for 16 days, and despite the difficulty of the process, we were able to get through it thanks to the love, care, and attention provided by the whole team. You all hold a special place in our hearts—Yolanda, Jose, Stephany, the chaplain, and everyone else who supported us with such love during my dad’s final moments. On behalf of the entire family, we are so proud to have been part of your family.
We want to say Thank You to the whole unit for treating my Dad with such care. Also, wanting to especially mention Yolanda Gomez (RN) for being such an amazing soul with my Dad and Family through these difficult times. Stephanie Leon (RN) the night shift nurse has been amazing as well.
The past 72 hours have been some of the most heartbreaking of my life. 72 horas horrendas. They drug and kill people faster not because of decline of the disease . I can’t express enough the gratitude to this particular facility in kendall for the care and assistance they gave my grandmother and our family. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. My grandmother was very clean during her stay with them. They had a chaplain available for us. Also- very important they had a huge area that had a like a family room and kitchen for family to grieve and hang out together in these final moments.
VITAS hospice facility was truly a wonderful place for my mother-in-law during her last three weeks. They treated her with so much care, compassion, dignity, and love during such a difficult time for our family. A special thank you to the amazing nurses Jose, Yolanda, and Mariana, the social worker Judy, all of the physicians, and Heidi at the front desk.
