Amazing staff great comforting facility. Very accommodating and welcoming
My mom was there 1 week. The care and comfort provided to her and our family was wonderful. It was a very difficult time, but they helped us through it. I strongly recommend VITAS

My father was admitted after numerous doctors at the hospital recommended hospice. The room was clean, pleasant, peaceful, quiet from adjacent rooms. The nurses were exceptionally patient since dad had issues eating due to Alzheimer's. They would call me to authorize any use of morphine or other painkiller/medicine he needed. We were able to stay with him overnight and made his passing less painful knowing we were able to hold his hand and be with him on his final breath . Severe negligence and lack of compassion — my father almost lost his life here My father was admitted to this VITAS facility for what was supposed to be a short transitional stay. He was ill but not in a terminal stage. However, during his stay, Dr. Angélica Torres Morales prescribed Dilaudid (hydromorphone) — a strong opioid that caused him to go into severe distress and an agonizing state almost immediately after administration.
