VITAS hospice facility was truly a wonderful place for my mother-in-law during her last three weeks. They treated her with so much care, compassion, dignity, and love during such a difficult time for our family. A special thank you to the amazing nurses Jose, Yolanda, and Mariana, the social worker Judy, all of the physicians, and Heidi at the front desk. My father was admitted after numerous doctors at the hospital recommended hospice. The room was clean, pleasant, peaceful, quiet from adjacent rooms. The nurses were exceptionally patient since dad had issues eating due to Alzheimer's. They would call me to authorize any use of morphine or other painkiller/medicine he needed. We were able to stay with him overnight and made his passing less painful knowing we were able to hold his hand and be with him on his final breath .
