Run, don’t walk AWAY from this establishment. I stopped going to this practice after repeated administrative and communication issues related to laboratory billing and records. I was left with an unexpected out-of-network lab balance after testing arranged through the office, and multiple written requests for clarification and records went unanswered. Very disappointing experience with this clinic. I have Type 1 diabetes, so I expect a high level of care, communication, and professionalism from my healthcare providers. Unfortunately, my experience with the staff and Dr. Shelly Chawla was far from what I expected. I cannot recommend Dr. Shelly Chawla highly enough. She quite literally saved my life, and I will forever be grateful for her expertise, compassion, and extraordinary level of care. I came in for a physical on March 26th and I got bloodwork done. Everything was great. A week later on April 2nd, the front desk called saying there was an emergency with the Lab and I needed to get my bloodwork done again. I had a very bad experience at Vitality Health Plus (RAJ PRASAD MD INC.) with the specific provider named Shelly Prasad Chawla. I was assigned here for a long overdue primary care provider appointment, including for chronic cardiac symptoms. I was subjected to the most blatant discrimination I had ever experienced. During my prescreening with a male nurse, I explained my symptoms and referrals sought, including cardiology. He responded that an EKG and ECG would be performed there as part of my physical.
