I made an appointment to donate platelets ahead of time. My appt was at 7:45am on a Sunday morning. I was nervous from reading the other negative reviews which is what prompted me to make this one. I have nothing but good things to say. I felt the staff was kind. It was pretty busy for being that early on a Sunday so I definitely recommend making an appointment. I think you would have to wait if you do not. Ultimately my vein was not happy about the platelet donation process but I will go back to do double reds in the future... read more

I had trouble finding Vitalant using my GPS. It took me to building 7 first (Wounded Warrior Project) which is the wrong building - Vitalant is in Building 5. Just look for the white and black signs in the parking lot and follow them from building 7 to across the road to building 5 (brown brick building). The staff here were really nice and building looks clean.

Don't bother donating blood with Vitalant. They won't show up and they don't care. If you make an appointment they'll just cancel the blood drive without telling you and yet still email you daily about how important it is that you show up to an appointment they've canceled in order to "save lives." This seems to just be some sort of scheme to collect people's private information. My hematologist warned me about how sketchy and untrustworthy Vitalant is and I should have listened.
