Don't bother donating blood with Vitalant. They won't show up and they don't care. If you make an appointment they'll just cancel the blood drive without telling you and yet still email you daily about how important it is that you show up to an appointment they've canceled in order to "save lives." This seems to just be some sort of scheme to collect people's private information. My hematologist warned me about how sketchy and untrustworthy Vitalant is and I should have listened.
Stay away from these folks... This seems to be a nationwide "big business" that's pumping folks for donations, rather than a local entity looking out for their neighbors. I donated once at a work event a few years ago. The line clotted off because the nurse wasn't paying attention, even though I called someone over as soon as I noticed.
