I have been going to Vita for over 8 years and now that they have this concierge service that we did not opt into we get terrible care now. It started with my wife not being allowed to discuss an issue during her annual exam. My annual exam did not go much better. There were some things in my blood work that need to be discussed and I have to schedule a follow up to do that. This place has become a business and not a medical practice. Everything is 100% transactional if you are not part of the concierge.
The nurse who draw my blood was unbelievable. It is very hard to draw my blood because of my veins. But the expert nurse took lees than a minute. Also want to mention about Lyba khan. Very friendly and she made everything very easy for me.
Horrible experience with the front office. They tell me they would follow up to get my physical and a separate appointment set up, but no call back or confirmation on what I would expect that day. On the day of my physical, they tell me they can set me up the following week for that separate appointment and to go through my bloodwork. I come the following week and the appointment took 5 minutes, they made me wait in the room for 25 minutes, and they never get to my blood work results. At first I didn't have any issues here and I thought I had found a doctors office that really listened to me. But then things started going down hill. For instance, when I went in for a check up and had to list any new medications, I had mentioned that I was on ADHD meds prescribed by my mental health team. Dr. Boudreau then proceeded to tell me that there's no real test for ADHD and that if Netflix had existed while she was going through med school she would be "distracted" too, as if that's all there is to ADHD. I used to have a great experience with Vita Family Medicine when I was a patient of Dr. Boudreau's. The office was always professional and well-run. However, things have changed over time. At some point, the practice introduced a concierge (membership-based) model for more personalized access to Dr. Boudreau. Since I did not opt into this additional cost, I am no longer able to see her and instead am seen by the physician assistant.
