This ophthalmologist is a Castle Connolly Top Doctor! He's worth following to his new solo practice location only a mile east from the other office. He's still in Toledo -Sylvania Township and very conveniently located off of Central Avenue on Central Park West. Parking is close to the door. This is a very fine physician who is knowledgeable, kind, and talented.

A nail had blinded my L eye, Dr. Nelsen and Dr. Kozy saved my retina. Approx. 25 years later, Dr. Harooni gave me a fixed iris implant restoring my vision, I'll be eternally grateful to all three of them.
The appointment started off well, but when he looked at my eyes he rattled off 10 medical terms, and didn't explain them. But said I have blepharitis and dry eye. He said that he sees '10 of me a day' and that he got so tired of repeating himself that he made this printout. He then dismissed my concerns about something else causing my dry eyes. was never told that things have changed in the office and had to schedule a different appointment felt very let down should have been something in my chart or email or letter stating changes now had to take more time off work and loose my holiday pay
He is kind, attentive to any question you ask, never makes you feel like his hand is on the doorknob and is one foot out the door. He is incredibly knowledgeable; did my cataract surgery and all went well with no complications. He also has a great sense of humor-the guy is a hoot! I have been his patient for several years and have never had a bad experience. I highly recommend Dr. Harpoon for any ophthalmology needs.
3-24-2022. Dr. Harooni performed cataract surgery on my left eye. Just before Covid started, The late Dr.McCarthy did my right eye. Dr. McCarthy was wonderful. Now I see Dr, Harooni and could not be happier! He is professional, personable and funny……the anesthesiologist, Dr. Firooz was commendable as well. Took his time explaining and next thing I knew I was in recovery.
