I like the new emergency room. It's fancy looking and a lot bigger than the old one, but there should really be more signs directing people how to get there. A lot of the ER staff and doctors are still rude, though. I try to explain my medical complaint and they keep walking out of the room in the middle of a sentence. The woman looking after me said to call a ride because I'm being discharged and then a doctor came in right behind her and told her they're transferring me to Lufkin. I was brought to the E.R. I had the best nurses, lab techs, and doctor, all women. I felt I was in good hands and received excellent care. So thankful they were there for me.
I will NEVER return to this Hospital even in a life-or-death situation. This Hospital almost killed me by giving me a full injection of penicillin when I was clearly wearing The Wristband that said allergic to penicillin. I went into anaphylactic shock and had to be flown by Life Flight to another hospital because they couldn't treat me after that. I went in by ambulance as a stroke alert. Just called for an appointment and their WHOLE dermatology department is not taking new patients. Good to be popular or just understaffed? Suggest you move on - even if you were a patient would you get in when you needed to?
