I am extremely frustrated with my experience at Virginia Beach OBGYN, specifically with their billing department. The process felt very money-driven, with repeated pressure to pay large lump sums upfront before services were rendered. There also seemed to be ongoing issues with how insurance claims were handled or dispersed, which created confusion and unnecessary stress. This may be a good office for someone who has a normal pregnancy. Unfortunately, I had a complicated pregnancy that ended at 26 weeks. Things went downhill at our 20 week anatomy appointment. From that point on I met with three different providers and had to share the terrible news each time. Up until 20 weeks it was perfectly fine because things were perfectly fine, but once complication occurred, it was difficult to have to re-explain myself outside of what was provided within my notes I will plan to find any new practice ... read more
Update: I've switched to Womancare and they're so much better in every way. They've actually addressed my concerns and are so much more competent and caring. They're also under the Mid Atlantic Women's Care umbrella so if this place takes your insurance, they probably do too.
