I had a Yag laser treatment done this week and it was very succesfull. It was a two minute procedsure,with no side effects. I'm very pleased with him and his staff.
Dr. Bhavnani of Glaucoma and Cataract Eye Institute was recommended to me by my Naples ophtalmologist after he had diagnosed me with glaucoma and developing cataract eyesight degradation in 2017. Since then, I have seen him many times and have only praise for his care, professionalism and his staff. When referred to Dr Bhavnani, my vision was a mess. I could barely see to drive and it was getting worse. Dr Bhavnani diagnosed me with closed angle glaucoma. The angle in my left eye was down to 5%. I also had a cataract developing in both eyes. Since the Glaucoma was the most pressing issue, Dr Bhavnani performed a laser Iridotomy in each eye during separate appointments one week apart. Dr was very professional,easy to understand, explained everything in easy to understand language. I felt very comfortable with him and got excellent service. My cataract surgery was successful and my eye sight improved 100%. His office staff is friendly and accommodating. I recommend him highly.
Dr Bhavnani has been my glaucoma specialist for over a dozen years. When I was referred to his care I arrived with severe retinal deterioration. Dr. Bhavnani's calm manner and clear explanation of my condition, treatment goals, and the methods to minimize vision loss have proved fruitful. Even with my occasional setbacks (including necessitating several surgeries), Dr. Bhavnani and his wonderful staff have stabilized my vision. I couldn't have a doctor that I trust more with my precious sight.
Was treated professionally; excellent diagnosis, treatment and follow up
Dr. Bhavnani has been treating me for about 7 years to manage my glaucoma and monitor cataracts in both of my eyes. He has done a great job of managing my glaucoma through medication (Lumigan drops), quarterly pressure testing, and annual testing with dilation. He has monitored my weakening vision due to the cataracts, and in January of this year (2023), I decided to proceed with cataract surgery in both eyes. He did a fantastic job on the surgery.
