Much better than my first place! My first apartment in Texas was okay, but the end of my time there was a nightmare with management. A/C broke often, black mold issues, and maintenance never seemed to care. MUCH different here at VLC. Management cares and knows so much about the community and the area. When I moved in, immediately got recommendations for restaurants, entertainment, even on how Mauldin police liked to crack down on folks going 1 mph over the speed limit. I had an issue with my disposal, and within 45 minutes maintenance was in to fix it and handled it quickly. Neighbors here are a diverse mix of professionals and small, upstart families who are friendly and don't cause trouble. On the off-chance there is a conflict, it's handled quickly, respectfully, and management ensures any miscommunications are discussed and listened to. On top of that, my unit is flat out GORGEOUS. I was able to get in to a second-floor apartment that was the perfect size for me with room for guests and friends, and I have such a great view of the forest. It's a quaint place to be for a morning cup of coffee or early-afternoon tea on my back porch, and the sunroom I got is a perfect setup for reading and for game nights. I had my reservations about paying $200 more in rent than my last place, but nearly 6 months in and I'm sold. Life at VLC is lovely, worth the rent, and an absolute upgrade over my last place. I'm glad I made the move here for a new job, and I'm glad I'm making my home sweet apartment here at this place! Kudos to the team here at VLC!

Avoid this place They only care about getting the rent money here. The water is charged as community water. The larger you apartment, the more water you will pay. Plus the billing company adds 15-20 dollars in fees per month.
