Up until the day Dr Russo performed my knee replacement, I was hiking; now, 11 months later, I have almost recovered from the aftermath. He used a tourniquet on my leg in the operation although I had told him that I had stents in that leg. Other surgeons I have seen subsequently have said that should never be done.
