Great Coffee and so much more As we enter the season for spices and sweets, Village Roaster, located in Lakewood at Alameda and Garrison offers a wide array of coffees sweets and spices. It is truly one of the great gift stores that exists in the area. Since 1979, Village Roaster has been roasting a delectable palette of coffees and teas, my favorite being a traditional dark, roasted french. Upon entering the store, you are greeted by a whole host of aromas coming from their spices. It is the only place I've ever found a goo... read more

Excellent coffee roasted in-store, plus teas and unique local gifts--all with a smile As a quality coffee junkie (or perhaps "coffee snob" hits it more on the head), I can't say enough good things about this roaster. Puts Starbucks to shame, in my book . At their main store on Garrison and Alameda, they have a large variety of beans and their prices are very reasonable (better value than Starbucks for sure). In addition, they have a large selection of eclectic gifts for sale--many of which are from local Colorado artisans. I... read more

I just read a response you provided to a customer who took the time to write to you, very eloquently and succinct I would add, about their experience in your store regarding masks. The response provided by Eric was absolutely appalling, offensive, arrogant and uncalled for. I, along with many, are keeping a list of places never to be patronized. You’ve been added to my list.

Business response:

Some background for the few that may read this far: in the weeks since we've reopened, we've seen thousands of customers enter the store. 2 people have pushed back on wearing masks. One was Regan's friend. In the meantime, we've served thousands of our wonderful customers and neighbors in this new normal with understanding and hope that someday soon we will be able to see eachtoher's smiling faces. The customer who wrote to us was very upset that we asked her to wear a mask, despite signage at the front door, AND this custom... read more

Village Roaster has a wide selection of coffees and teas. We prefer the coffee and have been going to them since early 80's. They roast their own beans that are shipped to them, and do have Kona coffee. We usually get 4 lbs of Columbian and they grind it while you wait. Normally they have tables with folks that are having just a cup. Do not know if this ability is available due the virus issue. Probably as take-out though.

The coffee is obviously the focus here, but the food is good, too. On top of that, you can get your total coffee hookup with beans, and an amazing assortment of glassware, brewing supplies, etc.
