Unprofessional, untrustworthy, shady business practices In December of 2004 I purchased a Chihuahua puppy from Village Pets for $600. I was told that the mother of this puppy was a 5lb Chihuahua and the father was a 6lb Chihuahua. Less than 1 year later my puppy weighs 12lbs and I have been told by his vet he is a Terrier mix. I went and spoke to the owner (after leaving several messages) and told her of the problem. I also showed her a picture of the dog (he looks nothing like a Chihuahua).
