Nurses should listen and follow thru with information from family members who know and live with patients. When my wife was admitted on September 11, 2019 for Carotid Artery surgery, I along with other family members immediately noticed she had a "Moderate fall risk" sign above her bed. Vidant certainly does So Much GOOD. Although THIS is weighing Heavily On my mind: When you call you must listen to over 3 minutes of a recorded message regarding Coronavirus and All we must do to prevent the spread yet they RELEASE PEOPLE W ACTIVE SYMPTOMS AND POSITIVE RESULTS to anyone willing to pick them up once released!!!!😡😡😡🤦♀️Send them home in cabs, Uber; whatever they find while only informing such persons to “ wear a Mask”. RecommendedI was admitted for a surgical procedure on Monday August 24. All the staff caring for me have been very kind and professional. Everyone here is friendly and takes the time to listen to my concerns and provides prompt follow up. I definitely recommend this hospital.
I stayed with a relative who was having medical issues. We went through multiple departments, and I was taken back by the level of skill and professionalism. I finally took them to another hospital, what a difference. So sad, the people were nice, just not very good at there job. I had no idea there were places like this in America! So glad to get home, and appreciate the level of care we have!
This hospital is beyond description. Poor staffing. Poor training. Horrible!!!!!!!

Currently sitting in the waiting room for over 3 hours & haven't seen anyone sanitize anything. Triage nurse isn't wearing gloves & and didn't clean the pulse oximeter between patients (and I watched her use it on at least 3 patients). Kinda grossed out right now...
RecommendedI get iron infusions every 4weeks at the cancer. I have had 2 surgeries there. The nurses and care partners have always been great. My doctor sees me in his office before I go to check my blood count then sends me over to the hospital. I have been doing this for 6 years and know most of the nurses and they know me.

My mother is a patient here At Vidant Health Hospital. We called prior to coming to visit to inquire about the visitation restrictions due to COVID-19. We was told on several occasions that we could sit in waiting area and visit one at a time, we drove 2 hours to visit our mother. We was told on July 25, 2020 that someone called and complained that there was too many people waiting in the “waiting area” and that we needed to leave.
