My suggestion : Have one big meeting with your entire staff of nurses and cna's and explain old fashioned patient care!!! Bedside manner is gone, common sense care is there a standard?- you guys are not even following any basic protocol or basic proper policy procedure! except the one in which you take your lunch break on time - your nurses have no emotional intelligence, in which once their ego is aggrevated they can't nurse adequately the tone of a stressed family members voice causes you to not be able to care for your pa... read more

The ED in this hospital has to be one of the worst run EDs I have ever seen. it doesn't take three hours to get someone a CAT scan. The nurses and staff have a bad attitude when you ask them questions and they don't check up on patients. I live in Cincinnati and I have been to quite a few hospitals and have never been treated as bad as I have at Vidant.

Do not expect them to listen to you or update charts with relevant information like your loved one being hearing impaired. I will post a shout out to Carlos in the Neuro ICU. He used his personal phone so that I could see/speak to my loved one and explain the when/what/where to him. My loved one had no idea what happened after days, DAYS, of being at Vidant. Sent to waiting area that's not open 8;30 am(ASU north), took over an hour to figure out where I'm supposed to be waiting wondering where my wife is. Sitting in waiting room where I was told only one person can wait for my wife, her mother not allowed, while i sit next to a couple waiting with no mask on. They are to slow my wife came in by EMS and then set in waiting room for over 5 hours and was in a bad car accident, in lots of pain and crying
Rude liars that make up their own rules,holding my minor child against my consent and won't give me an explanation!
worst ER wait times than any hospital I have ever been in. patient check in people are rude, they don't seem to really care about patients.
Vidant Medical Center is the worst hospital in North Carolina. I will be filing a grievance today with the State of North Carolina!
