I arrived at the ER after a bike accident and, unfortunately, had a very long wait without being seen. I understand hospitals can be busy, but the communication, triage clarity, and overall support were lacking. I left feeling overwhelmed and without the medical care I needed. I hope the hospital can improve wait-time transparency and patient guidance, especially for people who come in with injuries but are unsure whether to wait or seek help elsewhere.

I want to share my honest experience with the Victoria General Hospital Emergency Room so others—especially vulnerable people, Indigenous people, and anyone who may be alone—can make informed decisions. Worst emergency department, the staff treat you like you don't matter, no sympathy or respect they act like bouncers , and the front staff don't care if your head is hanging off , they tell you to sit and wait your turn , they allow homeless to sleep in the waiting room , the medical system of Canada is an absolute joke . The heads of this hospital should be fired and start treating patients like patients not cattle .
