We were sent to this emergency room urgently by the UPCC this morning for tests to rule out a potentially life threatening condition. So far been waiting 15.5 hours. Zero communication, and maximum attitude from staff. It’s absolutely appalling to leave people who need care waiting for this long with no explanation or update.
Days with urinary tract issues, severe kidney pain, not sleeping, dizzy and spinning even while lying down and on the verge of passing out resulting in a fall the day of my visit and being unable stand without shaking necessitated a trip to the hospital. I was unable to drive myself and thankfully had a friend willing to escort me to and from Shawnigan Lake avoiding a 911 call for ambulance transport. Went in at 10:30 AM with my mom who was being admitted following a series of mini strokes.. 11 hours later still waiting with absolutely no communication from anyone.
