THE WORST EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD!! – Please read these reviews and avoid Vicara salon if you care about your hair at all! I was enticed by the 50% off flyer that came in the mail. I read a few negative reviews, but decided because I was so strapped for cash I would give Vicara a try. Bad move! Never Again! – *WARNING* If you cherish your eyebrow hair, never, never, never, get your eyebrows waxed at Aveda Vicara in Torrance. I recently decided to take advantage of a 50% off coupon I received from Vicara. Thinking that I was in desperate need of an eyebrow clean-up, I decided to utilize the coupon for this purpose. DON'T LET KATHERINE WAX YOU!!! – i got my eyebrows done before at this salon with another girl, who did an excellent job. well she is gone now so i got katherine and she burned my skin! i have a scar now where she waxed me it was awful! i told her it was burning and she tried to make it seem like that was normal. not to mention, she kept me waiting for about 30 min. this salon obviously does not properly train their employees!
Don't Try It! – I had been a long time customer at the Amadeus Spa Aveda at the Grove, but my stylist is no longer there, so I tried this Aveda. Big mistake... I went to Christie. First off, she ran 20 minutes late, which should've gotten me concerned. However, I had a big level of trust from my previous Aveda experience. happy customer for over a year – i am very picky about who cuts my hair and am not averse to switching salons/stylists if needed. happily, i haven't had to do that in over a year. i stumbled onto this place while shopping at del amo mall. what drew me in was that they use only aveda products - awesome! also the first visit is 1/2 price and your first eyebrow waxing is free. they take good care of you from the moment you walk in. you're asked to wait in a comfortable area with magazines and given tea. the salon is well-mainta... read more
worst salon ever – Do not waste your time or your 27 dollars. They need to send these people to school again. i cant belive i just 27 dollars to ruin my hair. I will never go here AGAIN!!!!! Id rather spend 100 in beverly hills to be satisfied where they hire people who actually know what they are doin.
AMAZING!!!! – I just got my hair done here and i must say it was the most amazing experience i've ever had! The Salon is very beautiful and the receptionists were really friendly. They greeted me and offered me a beverage as i waited for my stylist, Princess. When i sat down in her chair, i told her that I wanted something new but nothing too drastic. best experience ever!!!!!!!!! – I dont know what that crazy girl is talking about!! this place is the best ever. So I went in for a haircut and the girl I went to LISTENED to everything I said not to mention I got a scalp massage before she washed my hair(heaven sent) all the aromas were yummy! then she cut my hair exactly like how we had discussed.
