In December 2018, our primary veterinarian referred our dachshund, Chewie, here for surgical removal of an ear polyp that was causing a chronic ear infection. Chewie has had several follow up appointments and is doing great! So far there is no evidence of the polyp or the infection returning, and Chewie is much more comfortable. My vet referred me to Dr. Mauterer and from day one it was a pleasant experience with all the staff and doctor. Drs. Coutin and Lee and the entire staff at Veterinary Specialists of Greater New Orleans did an amazing job treating my pup. They really were on top of her care the entire time and kept me updated and informed of her progress continually through her stay and follow ups. My dog, Archie, recently had surgery to repair a cruciate tear and luxating patella. Dr. Lee as well as the entire staff were extremely compassionate and professional. They answered all of my ridiculous questions without making me feel stupid and they were super patient with Archie who tends to be very anxious and neurotic. We will definitely be back when its time to fix his other leg!
Dr Coutin, staff and vet techs were excellent in surgically repairing George's (cat) collateral ligament, meniscus and acl repair. Dr. Mauterer took my phone call after 5 PM as I was upset and not knowing what the surgery entailed. She spent time on the phone with me and I immediately felt confident that this was the specialty clinic to perform George's surgery. 8 weeks later George is healed and released. Highly recommend them!!
