Probably the best emergency vet I've been to in the triangle. The open concept of the facility can feel a bit overwhelming at first, but it is really helpful being able to see the flow of the staff. Like any ER, patients are seen based on need. My girl had a scratch in her eye and wasn't critical, so I had no problem waiting longer knowing it was because animals with seizures, labored breathing, etc, that arrived after me truly needed care first. I found a gosling in distress that had been left behind by its flock. After waiting for animal control, they asked if I could take it to VEG, which I did. The staff was immediately attentive and very compassionate. The poor little guy wasn’t going to make it, and they were able to help by humanely ending his suffering. It was an awful situation, but I am glad I now know this office is available if I ever come across another animal in need of help, or if my pets require immediate care.
