I’m an 18-month combat veteran with a service dog. This is a homeless shelter serving both civilians and veterans. After volunteers who are also residents began harassing my dog, I reported the situation to my psychologist. Very disappointing experience. This was one of the worst shelters I have ever stayed at. First of all, I did not choose this shelter myself. I was referred there by the PATH program. The room was very dirty and had a strong unpleasant smell, including from the shelves. I was also assigned to the top bunk. The shelter has very strict rules for residents. For example, they require you to wear your badge around your neck and show it when going into the kitchen. However, at the same time, they allow dogs inside the kitchen area.... read more

Oh my goodness! I filled out an application for help with housing about two weeks ago, I am currently, and have been living in my car on and off for a long time. I have no drug, no alcohol addictions. I came in today to check on the status of my application, and the lady who is at the front desk right now, right this second, was beyond rude to me, dismissive and disrespectful to me, as if I had done something to insult her.
