My family member is a Veteran, one would think that Veterans in a VA HOSPITAL would be treated respectable and with dignity, but no. Patients are left with call lights lit up, not repositioned, their bedside table in the middle of the floor where the patient cannot reach it, the patient is non ambulatory, and very weak so barely verbal, some of the nurses act like you're disturbing there conversations when you approach them to do their jobs, if there is staffing issues then that needs to be taken care of immediately and appr... read more

At the VA Long Beach. I've been here since 2pm. I just saw the Doc 3:44pm Now I'm at the pharmacy. A little wait but much better than Yourba Linda V A. It's not pink eye but something from the pool. I must ware goggles for now on. I love swimming to much. California and all. It's only my right eye. Long Beach V A rocks .

This place is an absolute JOKE! The wait times to see a doctor, if there IS one on shift, is unacceptably LONG, (4 hours plus), the nurses don't really check up on the patients often, and if there is family present, they're not asked if THEY need anything, like a pillow or even a blanket, to keep comfy in those awful chairs. The vending machines do t work, either.

I always get the best medical care. However, they are woefully understaffed and it takes a long time to get treatment. But, when you do, it is the best!!!
