Ronda is excellent – Got a tattoo last week at Venus. Ronda was outstanding. She worked with me for two hours on various design ideas until we had something I was happy with (the tattoo is of my son's name; I had a rough idea of what I wanted but needed to improve upon it) and did excellent work during the actual tattooing process. I am very happy with the experience and would definitely recommend her to others.
My new favorite NY tattoo place – I usually get all of my work done in my home state of CT where I've been going to the same place for a couple of years, so when I looked for a new one in New York I wanted something clean, someone I could trust, and a place I could definitely use again and again. Ronda at Venus is a great artist, and a cool person – I have been tattooed by Ronda three times now. her work is awesome, she has a good personality which makes the time go fast, and she was ontime for all of the appointments. I only hesitate to recommend her because I want to make sure I can book a session without waiting a month!

Avoid At All "Costs"!!! – Apparently Venus closes at 9pm. I walked in a little after 8:30pm. to what appeared to be a one woman operation. The woman behind the counter was Corinne, as she introduced herself to me as the manager (and I assume the bald guy with the beard that kept staring at me was her boyfriend). Awesome service – I'd been looking at other tattoo parlors before I found this place, and I just didn't feel comfortable anywhere else. As soon as i stepped into the store i felt much better: the staff is pleasant and helpful, and the place is clean. Ronda, especially, was accomodating and patient--and quite a character. She might come off as scattered and flaky sometimes but she definitely knows what she's doing and when she starts working she's all business.
