I cannot say enough about Dr. Hackett. I just moved here from the East Bay (SF) and needed a vet. I was recommended to another vet and did not have a good experience. I spent way too much money and got no answers and no bedside manner. The condition came back on my dog and I started googling. I saw that VCA had 5 stars so I booked an appointment. It was expensive day (as expected at any vet) but I am EXTREMELY satisfied, so far. She was amazing! I really feel comfortable bringing my dog to this facility. Highly recommend it!
We've been taking our pets to VCA West Bernardo since we moved to the area 15 years ago. Why? Because in my first few days here I asked 3 different people who didn't know each other if they could recommend a vet, and all 3 said the same thing: VCA West Bernardo! Given the odds against that happening, I had to check them out, and have never regretted it. Dr. Robbins is terrific. Our dog Aero isn't the easiest dog to work with, but Dr. Robbins understands how to handle him. Additionally, he communicates clearly with me about both our pets' medical needs (we have a cat, Linus, too). He's been our veterinarian for years and I highly recommend him. From ear infections and bee stings to senior pet concerns, Dr. Robbins has provided us with great care. To boot, Shelly at the front desk provides outstanding customer service.
