I'm never bringing my beloved dog or any future pet here ever again. If you're looking for a vet who does not care about the well being of your fur baby, who does not listen, who is arrogant, lies and seems to be currupted by "the system" ask for Dr. Pomeroy at the VCA Southwick Animal Hospital.
Everyone in Southwick VCA is amazing. My Alfie (15 year old cat) has kidney issues and has required special care over the past year and Dr. Gentes has treated her as if she was her own pet. During all appointments I have not only been given compassionate and excellent care as well as detailed options of testing/treatment including pricing for each item. We called to see if they could fit us in for an appointment. They said YES we were there 1 hour NO WORD to us when we would be able to be fit in. I understand they were fitting us in but then when they said it would be another hour we left. 2 hours wait to potentially be seen is NOT ok. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. We would have been new clients for them too. I would not recommend them to anyone.
I was very impressed with their accommodating and compassionate care. We had been needing urgent care for our rabbit, and brought him into their office as a walk in (this was after calling several other vets closer to our home, and being turned away because they said they were too busy.) Even though they normally do not accept walk ins, and our bunny was a brand new patient, they still found a way to see him in between other clients, and were able to schedule a procedure later that day. I've been taking my dogs here for years their normally pretty good. Today not so much my appt was for 11 am I got there a little early and waited. Other customers came and left they finally put us in a exam room where we continued to wait. It got to the point I walked out the staff was all standing around behind the counter like no one was there. No consideration for our time or my dogs pain waited over 40 min for nothing I drive the 1/2 hour there because they used to be compassionate but that's not the case today.its sad b... read more
I had to put our cat down last week, he was old and his health was failing. We had him since he was a kitten, he was 15 when we put him down. The people at Southwick Animal Hospital were so nice and so caring, the Vet and the Tech were so caring. I will be bringing all my animals there for check ups.
